About Jesse Florea

Jesse Florea has worked at Focus on the Family for 13 years. During that time he has been the associate editor for "Breakaway" magazine (for teen boys), editor of "Clubhouse Jr." magazine (for 4- to 8-year-olds), and developer and editor of the "Focus on Your Child's Tween Ages" newsletter for parents of 8- to 12-year-olds. For the last 10 years, he has been the editor of "Clubhouse"--Focus's magazine for tweens. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in communications from Wheaton College in Illinois. Professionally, Jesse has written several books (including "Young Believer 365" and "The One Year Devos for Sports Fans" with Tyndale House Publishers) and thousands of newspaper and magazine articles. He lives with his wife and two children (ages 14 and 12) in Colorado Springs.

About Karen Whiting

Karen Whiting is an international speaker, award winning author, and former television host. Karen loves to splash creativity and faith on pages as she writes.

Her inspirational craft books for girls come from fun she had raising her daughters as well as getting creative with other girls. Her first book for boys released in October 2015 (The One Year Devotions for Active Boys). New and upcoming releases include Raising a Modern Day Princess (Focus on the Family Publishing) and 52 Week Devotions for Busy Families (Rosekidz).

Her book, My Princess Devotions, won the 2014 Christian Retailing Best Award for children's nonfiction. Her book, Stories of Faith and Courage from the Home Front won the Military Writer Society of America Gold Medal, faith category.

Karen speaks to many groups of women and moms as well as mother-daughter events to share laughter, stories, on topics ranging from building strong relationships, managing time, to appreciating the contributions of women of faith in our history.
